Kickstarter Update!
Andrea Seabrook Posted on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 2:57PM It has been a banner day for DecodeDC -- with your help we finally ticked past the $25K mark and we're now one-third funded. THANK YOU for helping us smash through the dreaded kickstarter mid-campaign slump!
On Friday, 10/12 we're throwing an exciting soiree and fundraiser in San Francisco that will include fabulous insight and conversation from such celebrities as Roman Mars (99%Invisible), George Lakoff (Berkeley Linguistics genius), Mike Monteiro (Mule Design & Mule Radio Syndicate) and more. We'd love to invite you or anyone you think would appreciate such Nerd-Love in the Bay Area. Send us your email for an invite!
Andrea is pounding pavement and hustling hard to bring in some larger donations to DecodeDC as well. We have a few in the pipeline that we hope will get us close to the half-way point of $37,500 -- and we only have two weeks left. Please help us redefine news by continuing to spread the word. I am a student journalist and totally support what you're doing. The fact that you were courageous enough to step away from your job shows me just how passionate you are to the true purpose of journalism.
Take us away from the filter bubble and toward a better way of thinking.
